The online peer support program (hosted on Facebook) was pioneered by Erich Barkmeyer who appreciated that his mob want to be educated by their own people in their own words. Aid Worthy have partnered with Diabetes Queensland since 2013 and have produced 12 different peer support videos which act as conversation starters for the peer support volunteers in the program.

This compilation highlights the first steps  four Aboriginal and South Sea Islander’s took when they found out they had diabetes. Aid Worthy value the partnership with Diabetes Queensland and we look forward to supporting their work in the future.
